...which necessitated the later cartoon being called "the REAL ghostbusters."

somebody must've dropped the copyright ball when they made the movies.

i think the crappy cartoon was actually first. it was a shortlived cartoon in the 70's and they resurrected it in the 80's to cash in on the ghostbusters name.

in any case, i remember being annoyed even as a little kid when there were suddenly ghostbusters toys that had nothing to do with the ghostbusters i was interested in...
